Duo Legal

The Law Firm BASSANO AVOCATS comprises 35 lawyers who specialise in family law and tax, private wealth, inheritance and related tax issues.

The Members of the Firm are all 'AVOCATS' (French barristers and attorneys) qualified to practice law in France and appear before its Courts. Many also qualified as "notaires" in the French system, (but do not practice as such as French law does not permit 'avocats' to practice as or with 'notaires' and vice versa), but the knowledge & expertise gained allows us to offer the most comprehensive advice available in all areas of family law and private wealth issues.

BASSANO AVOCATS concentrates its activities in these fields, and therefore we do not deal with the more usual corporate, criminal, public law issues etc...

Our niche specialisations enable us to react swiftly and decisively when dealing with private clients, especially high net worth individuals, both in a national and international context.

Several Members of the Firm work in, and are fluent in, German, English and Italian working as they do on a daily basis to service our large international and cross-border clientele.

We can be instructed by Clients case-by-case or act for a Client or a family on a continuing basis.

BASSANO AVOCATS has for many years advised Swiss nationals who have family and wealth issues in France . In 2013, we opened an office of the Firm in Geneva. The six lawyers who work there permanently are all French law qualified.

In 2014, BASSANO AVOCATS launched BASSANO FIDUCIAIRE, a separate structure providing "Fiducie" services. These are the French equivalent of trusts.
